July 4th weekend brides

I was wondering if you are using indoor fireworks or sparklers for the reception...if so, where are you getting them from? Also, when are your invites going out??? Thanks a lot for the help!

July 4th weekend brides

Same here on the invites. They are going out mid-late April and are due back June 2 (they day the hotel res. have to be made by). I am getting sparklers. They are called Flowerglitzz and they are lit from middle of the centerpieces. They are from a company in Brooklyn called the wedding coach. I don't have th number on me, but I can post it tomorrow. The sparklers stay lit for about 45 sec and you need to have the high centerpieces for them to go in. Let me know if you have anymore questions! Carrie

Flowerglitzz

I'm getting married July 4 next year, but thought I'd jump in.... You can get Flowerglitzz at any florist. I've been told about them by 3 different florists at a bridal show I went to, and saw them at the florist my family always uses. But my hall told me specifically that we can't have them or any other kind of sparkler indoors. They go against their fire insurance policy. You should ask before you spend all the money and then can't set them off....

more July 4th info

Hello gals! I'm also getting married on July 4th of this year. I too was thinking about sending out my invites mid to late April (the 15th or somewhere there after). As for fireworks / sparklers, we aren't going to have our own. I'm going to have simple centerpieces and since we are getting married at the Riviera of Massapequa and it's right on the water, we'll be able to see the fireworks from Jones Beach. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it doesn't rain. Best of luck to all. What kind of flower's are you gals having?

July 4th Brides

My invites are going out second week in April, with a response of June 4th. I was thinking of doing the sparkler centerpieces, but cost is preventing me :( As it is the centerpieces would run me close to $50 each then top it off with around $800 for the sparkler things. So I am planning on getting small sparklers from any store the week or so before... and we will have a some friends light them off as we come in!

Flowerglitzz

I'm getting married 7/4/03 also and was thinking of doing something like that too. I received a pamphlet from Grucci fireworks and they wanted over $1,000 a minute for a fireworks display. The grand display was $20,000! Can you believe that? Where are you getting married? What have you booked so far? Good luck to you! Karen

The ceremony & reception will be at Sans Souci of Sea Cliff. Our ceremony is going to be interfaith, and will be at 6pm. (FH is Jewish, and it needs to be before sundown.) We'll get to see the fireworks display at Port Washington's Bar Beach. (We really wanted a location that we could see fireworks from.) We've booked both of the clergy, Tom Gordon for the music, Spelman Studios for photography and videography, and I ordered my gown from Lestan's in Brooklyn. And we've started planning the honeymoon (2 weeks in Italy!) What have you done so far?
