Mother of the groom dress

So my fh tells me tonight at dinner that he has some bad news.

Apparently, his mom went dress shopping for the wedding. And the dress she bought is bright green! I did not see the dress myself, but he made the green sound hideous. He said why did i tell her she can get any color? (He's right, i did tell her she can get any color, as long as it was not white... but i was not worried because fh's sister had promised me should would help her mom find a dress for the wedding).

And here's the kicker....

She bought the dress for $40.... yup that's right... (it was on sale from $70 ) ( i know it is not about how much the dress costs, but fh really made it sound hideous).

So fh says that i have to go and see the dress and tell his mom that she needs to buy another one. I told him NO way! I am staying out of this one...
everyone knows i do not need any more family drama. I told him she can wear whatever she wants to the wedding!

i dont even know what to think about this one!

I would tell FH to take a pic and see the damage.

This is really something none of us should need to stress over but some of us do or have already. Perhaps it is not as bad as you think.

At least she has one, Fh's mother says she'll find one the week before. LOL

You've got a great attitude towards this whole thing. I don't blame you for not wanting to cause drama. If he really hates it...let him tell her. I'm sure she would be more forgiving of him than of you.
