Are you putting your flowergirl(s) in the same color as your BM's or in white? I think I'm going to put them in the color. My FH thinks they should be in white. We will wind up doing what ever I decide- I have all the VETO power (lol). But I am curious to know if everyone is sticking to that old 'they should look like little brides' stereotype, or if anyone else thinks that its cute to dress them like small BM's. After all, they can still have baskets.

I am having 3 Flowergirls and I put them in all white. However, their dresses are very plain, they have small line of pearls on top of the dress, that's it. The dress is white satin and has a small bow in the back. I didn't want the girls to the 'mini' brides either, but I am very happy with the look of the dress.

My FG will have a white dress with a yellow sash. My BMs are in green dresses with yellow flowers.

I didn't want a mini-bride either. But b/c my bridesmaids gowns are black - I didn't want to put a little girl in a black dress either. So her dress with be ivory with a black sash.

That sounds adorable!Where did you find it?Who is the designer? We are having a summer wedding, and I'm using all pastle roses. I want to incorporate color into her dress, but my BM dresses are a champagne color and I don't think it would compliment her dress. Thanks a bunch! Continued success to all...

What I am doing
I didn't want a min-bride at all so I am looking for a dress that has white matte satin skirt and a deep plum velvet top. Impossible so far to find. If I cannot find it then I will look for a dress that compliments the deep purple. Check out eBay too. They have a ton of dresses from distributors. Also, Bid and Tuckers in Smithtown has some beautiful spring/summer dresses in the store now. Now a huge selection, but so pretty.

That sounds exactly like the flowergirl dresses I am having. They are tulle right? And they are sleeveless with little pearl buttons in the back. In the back around the waist and in the front (I think) it has little roses with green leaves. Then it comes out with a full tulle skirt. There is a picture of the dresses in all the bridal magazines I look at. But I forget what store (some store in Port Jefferson) that advertises and uses a picture of the dress. I love it!

What I am doing
When I was little I was always in the color to match the bridal party unless it was close to my first holy communion and then I wore white b/c my family would scam my mom into me wearing it for that. Laurie

Jenny's Flowergirl Dress
I am getting the dress from a store called Ragamuffins in Huntington. I have seen a picture which is either the exact dress or very similar in bridal magazines. It comes in either white, ivory or a pale pink. Their price is around $185 but you might be able to shop around for a better one. Good Luck!!Welcome New Vendors
