Married Brides - question on rings...
My FH and I are getting platinum poesey rings, they're engraved all the way around so they can't be resized. The jewler gave us our rings in sterling silver to wear for a day to make CERTAIN the size is right (which I thought was pretty cool of them!). Well, now I feel like my e-ring is too big and it spins, where it never did before. My e-ring IS a little big on me because when I had it sized my FMIL said not to get my 'real' size because my fingers would get bigger as I got older, so my 'real' size is 4.5, my e-ring is 4.75. The wedding band is 4.5 and fits perfect, a bit snug over my knuckle, where my e-ring slides pretty easily over my knuckle. Did any other brides have it where their e-ring seemed too big once they were wearing over their band because now the e-ring is higher up on their finger?? If you did, did you get your e-ring resized? Did anyone else convince you to get your e-ring or wedding band 'a little big'? Sorry for being long...

yep as soon as i got my wedding band i noticed my e-ring was too big. go and get gold balls put into the ring this way if it needs to get bigger they can just take them out.

I'm really curious about this too. My Ering has been resized 2X already and its still loose. My jewler kept saying in the summer my finger will swell. I really dont' want to have to resize it again. Does anyone wear wedding band above e ring?

Re: Married Brides - question on rings...
I never heard of getting the ring a little bigger, but my rings are exactly a 7 which is my real size. I have lost and gained weight and never had to have them re-sized.

I tried having the balls put in and it killed my finger, and was really annoying, I had to have those out!

Same here. Plus, everyone's fingers are different. If anything where the wedding ring sits it's the smallest part of my finger and where the e-ring sits is the largest.

Re: Married Brides - question on rings...
Never thought about getting it a bit larger...both of my rings fit well... most of the women in my family wear wedding ring over e-ring. I don't since it looks better for my particular rings to wear wedding ring and e-ring on top.

Re: Married Brides - question on rings...
ok...I guess I am the opposite from all ya ladies..after the wedding I noticed my engagement ring was actually too tight on my finger above my wedding band! My finger actually is smaller were the WB sits due to me wearing rings on that finger my whole life. I had to have my jewler tap out my ER to make it more comfy!I know they make ring guards to help keep it on also.

Re: Married Brides - question on rings...
I used my G-ma's ring and had it resized to what I thought was my right size. Either it's heavier than my old e-ring (I switched after DH stopped being superstitious and silly) but I don't want to have it sized again. My MOH has the gold balls in her band and says they are fine for her- I might just look into having a little strip of metal put inside the band. My wedding band fits perfectly tho. The weather will def affect your size. Your fingers swell in humidity and shrink in cold. Never bothered me before tho!

I wear a size 5 and FH bought me a 6.75 for my engagement ring.. I had it resized to a 5 1/2 bc I am accounting for the warmer weather when your finger tends to swell and if later on, getting pregnant and fingers swelling.. I plan on wearing a 5 1/2 for my wedding band as well.. HTH

Same with me. Having it loose would really bother me especially since I'm left-handed. I wouldn't want it to constantly turn around or move a lot.

Re: Married Brides - question on rings...
you can have little balls put on your ring to make it tighter. they can always come off if you need it looser.
