Which is a better way to make sure an aisle runner is secure on a marble floor?

I'm getting a custom aisle runner but it does not have a non-slid back. Which is the best way to affix it to the floor to ensure it doesn't slide and none of my family or friends slip?

choice 1: double-back tape
choice 2: spray adhesive
choice 3: buy a non-slip pad and glue it to the back of the runner.

I'll add a poll...

Thanks!
