BB&B Registry help... UPDATE w/ Williams and Sonoma!
FH and I are planning on going to BB&B tomorrow to start registering. Can anyone who's registered there give me any pointers, tips, suggestions... Which is the best BB&B to go to? Should I ask for a specific helper?
What in your guys opinions are the most important things to be registering for and what brands???
THANKS!!

Re: BB&B Registry help...
The BEST store is the one in the city on 1st and 61st, they're a flagship and have just about everything! We registered originally at the one in Brooklyn, but they didn't have much, so we went online all the way....

HAVE FUN!!!

Re: BB&B Registry help...
I've heard the best one is the one in Westbury because you can see the China patterns. However, all BB&B stores have a registry department with a book of all their china they can review with you. I registered at the one in Lake Grove without any problems. I also went home and found some things on line at BB&B that I registered for!

Re: BB&B Registry help...
the woman with dark hair (about mid 30's) helped us at the location by Smith-haven mall... she was great and very helpful, she is one of the main 'registry' people there and she is the only one with dark hair so that is how you can narrow her down.also, i have been to other locations and have always had great help!
lots of luck with registering--it's fun but it will make you worn out--bring a snack LOL

Re: BB&B Registry help...
the one in westbury is awesome. i like how they have the china there on display so you can really get a good idea of what it looks like.in terms of how long it will take...i suggest registering in small chunks....a little bit each time. i'm not sure if you have the time to do that, but it was alot less stressful for both my FH and i that way....helped it not get to be too overwhelming
ETA: westbury is alot closer than smithhaven. the bbb in westbury is right next ot the source mall

Re: BB&B Registry help...
I'm geographically between the smith haven location and the bohemia location so I wasn't sure which one to go to. I checked out both and I found out the bohemia location has a whole formal china/bridal registry section which smith haven didn't come close to. Just a suggestion - be well rested and start in the department you're most enthusiastic about, b the end you may find yourself scanning just about anything! Happy registering!

Re: BB&B Registry help...
I went to the one in Manhasset. It was eh. I couldn't find a bed set or everyday dishes that I liked. Of course, that is mostly because I have trouble making decisions!

I did! I registered at WS for all of my baking things... loaf pans, muffin tins, cookie sheets, etc. And I registered for some cool gadget-y things there too. I left the basic stuff for BBB.
I know that some WSs do a bridal registry Sunday brunch, where you can go in before the store opens. I know the one in Columbus Circle does it.
As far as pots go, I registered for All Clad through Macy's since they are sometimes on sale.
Good luck!

I registered with Williams Sonoma. I love their merchandise and I love their customer service. I received one or two things on my registry that were glass pieces and broken and i called them and they shipped me out new stuff, without me having to go to the store! Best of all i love their thank you card manager online!

AHHhh.... you have read my mind. I was thinking about doing that EXACT same thing.... All the cooking stuff at WS and then all the other stuff, towels, bedding, little stuff for BB&B.But it's so confusing on what the best ones are. I guess it's all personal choice.

i also went with all clad for cookware and you have to check out the knives at Williams Sonoma. They carry a line called Shun.... my favorite on my registry!
