Flowerfield, Lands End or Vanderbilt Mansion Brides?

This is a little personal, but I would like to know what you girls are paying at Flowerfield, Lands End, or Vanderbilt Mansion. I got prices, but just want to compare. Thanks!!

I had my reception at Flowerfield last July. I'd be happy to give you any info you want, but I'm not sure if last years prices will be helpful. Let me know if you want my #'s. : )

This sounds right to me, too. I'm getting married there in July 2003. I also found that if you are willing to guarantee a higher # of guests, they will lower the cost per person. If you know you're going to have a big wedding (like mine!), it might be worthwhile to do. Just a thought.

Okay, I got married last July on a Friday. We paid $130 per person, and with that got the seafood bar for our cocktail hour, an upgrade to filet mignon and Chilean sea bass for dinner (they were both upgrades when we booked in '99, but I don't think they are any more), a hospitality hour before cocktail hour, and an extra half hour added onto our cocktail hour. Hope that helps! : )

How did the guest feel that the cordial room or smoking room was so far away from the ballroom?

No one seemed to mind that the cigar bar was far from the main ballroom. Actually, my dad was GLAD that it was, because he was tired of listening to 'my' music! The cigar bar was well used, believe me. Patrick supplied Flowerfield with 12 boxes of Cuban cigars, and there was not one left at the end of the night.

Past Vanderbilt Mansion Brides

I was married at the Vanderbilt Mansion in 2000, but I am not sure if my info on pricing will be helpful to you. I booked in 1999 and they also used a different caterer at the mansion. If you are having more than approx. 160 people you have to have a cocktail reception. If you have any other questions, please post your email address and I will respond.
