Using a song with lyrics for the processional?
I was just reading the latest Bride magazine and they had a little IN/OUT section. They said a new trend is using songs with lyrics for a processionalI think I LOVE this idea. Is anyone doing this? If so, what song(s) are you using?

My BP will be walking in to From This Moment by Shania Twain, which of course has lyrics. When I walk in the song will be switched to Forever in Love by Kenny G, without any lyrics.

I'm pretty sure if you ask, you can use the insturmentals of the songs in church. My FH and I don't want songs with lyrics, but we do want to use something from Trans-Syberian Orchestra, a rocked out version of some classical music.

Re: Using a song with lyrics for the processional?
We're actually doing ours to 'I Will' by The Beatles. We're having the guitarist and vocalist from our jazz quartet play for the ceremony and that song was on their regular playlist, so I chose that. Turns out they have done it for some other ceremonies!

yeah you have to run it by the church. when i met with the priest, my church was specific (strict) about what music you can and cant play.
AFAIK, the church is pretty strict.
