Leaving FH's parents off the invitation?

Nope we put both parents name on the invitation. Since we are paying for the whole wedding our selves we did the follwing:

Bride Name
daughter of bride's parents' names

and

Groom Name
son of groom's parents' names

Request the honour of your presence....etc......

Re: Invitation question: Is anyone....

We left both sets of parents off because we are paying for the whole wedding. Neither side seemed to mind, and if they did, they did not say anything to us.

Re: Invitation question: Is anyone....

we didnt put either parents names on the invite since we're also paying for the wedding.

we put;

bride's name
and
groom's name
together with their parents
request the honour of your presence

etc....

Re: Invitation question: Is anyone....

my parents are the only ones (as of right now)helping us out as far as the wedding expenses go, so I feel that they are the only ones who deserve to go on our invitations...

Re: Invitation question: Is anyone....

Traditionally, you are only supposed to put the bride's parents unless the grooms parents are helping to pay for the wedding. In my case, only my parents are helping, so only their names go on the invite!

Re: Invitation question: Is anyone....

My parents are paying for the hall, photogaphy, my dress, the flowers..
FH is paying for the dj and officiant and my hair and makeup.
FH's parents are paying for nothing.
I am paying for the invitations

What do you suggest?
I think my dad will be hurt if I put his parents on since he is paying for so much.

What do you suggest?

Re: Invitation question: Is anyone....

No, I considered it but we wound up doing 'son of'. I feel that it is acknowledging FH mom gave birth and raised him, not that she contributed to our wedding in any way whatsoever.

Edited because you girls are fast - I think since his parents are helping 'son of' would be nice. You're parents still get to go on top.
