Patken proof question

Hi Patken Brides,

When I visited with Patken I noticed that the final proofs that the couple receives has 'Patken Photographers' printed on the bottom front of each proof.

Do any of you know if there is a way around this aside from cutting out the name from each proof? I am planning on putting all my proofs in albums and don't think it will look nice if their name is on each one. I know this may sound petty, but this irks me!! Anyone else feel the same way?

Thats interesting because my sister's proofs form Patken doesnt have their name written on the bottom and they gave them to her in albums.

it might just be the proofs that they have in store that have it written for promotional purposes. I don' t think my MOH's proofs from them had 'Patken' written on them...

I hope they don't! I don't want my proofs to have that either!

I think it might just be the ones in the store too. I think since they put the proofs in an album for you, I can't see them having the name on it

They showed me someone's proofs that were ready, because I was asking about the size of the proofs, and that is when I noticed their name on it. I even asked if this could be eliminated from the front and I was told that it couldn't.

Some photographers do that for copyright. A lot of places like Kinkos, etc will not copy the proofs or make duplicate because of that.

My proofs had the number and Patken Photography written on the bottom. I think it has to do with copyrighting but according to my conversation with the sales person when we booked I will be getting my negatives so I am not concerned about the imprint.

My proofs also say Patken at the bottom and the proof number.

All the proofs have the name and photo # on the bottom. It's much better than the photographers who put their name diagnolly across the proof.

I didnt notice this, and I also asked when we met with them if they put there name on the pictures they said no. but i didnt ask if it was visable on the bottom, when the pictures are in the albums

I also asked this question with meeting with them, since I saw so many other photographers placing there info directly across the whole pic. They told me that it is in small print on the bottom of the photo.

Out of the 5 photographers we met with they were the only ones who have their name on the front of the proof. It isn't as obnoxious as those photographers who put their name across the entire picture, but having seen 4 others who didn't have it on the front made it stand out to me when I saw Patken's proofs.

Just wanted to see what everyone's thoughts were. Thanks for all the feedback.

We got our proofs from them in an album. I didn't think it was a big eyesore.
