Girls NOT getting ready at their home (childhood or otherwise) or anyone else with an opinion/insight
did any of you do a 'drive by' of the place before going to the church...kinda to say good bye or something.after a lot of going back and forth, I have decided it is in my best interest to get ready in a hotel not far from my house, and close to the church. I was thinking of having the limo driver go by my house so I can get a few pics on the steps, and also say hello to my next door neighbor, who is too unwell to come to the wedding, but was a very close friend to my mom's mom (now deceased)
I am not overly concerned about traffic (it's a 10 minute trip from the hotel to my house- no highways or anything) just wondering how it will look...is anyone else doing anything like this?

I think that's a really nice idea. The only reason I'm getting ready at a hotel is b/c I'm from upstate and FH is getting ready where we live now (FILs)

That's really sweet. I say go for it.I'm getting ready at the hotel and everything is there. We're leaving to go to the beach where we met for pictures and that's it.

I think that is a nice idea. As long as you have time I dont see anything wrong with it. I think your neighbor will be so happy to you.

I think its a good idea......if you have the time....go for it.....I've lived just about everywhere in Queens so I wouldn't be able to do that. But I would if I could

I am getting ready in a hotel as well and I think it is a great idea. Unfortunately I grew up in NJ, so we wont be able to do a drive by.

I'm originally from Rochester, and getting married in LI. FH is staying at his parent's house the night before and will have pictures taken of him there while I stay the apt and have pictures taken there, so I definitely can't do a stop!!

I definitly agree.
Me and the BM are getting ready at my house. It will be much easier and I live right by the church.
