Getting married by the end of the year. Need advice...
My Fiance and I have been engaged for a week and we have decided we want to get married by the end of the year...I'm beginning to wonder if it's going to be possible... We want a small wedding (under 100 people) we are each going to have 3 attendants (1 on each side is a child under 10). Anyone have any ideas about where to have a small wedding? (we have a child and are on a tight budget) We are having the ceremony at my church (nassau county, north shore) and need a reception site that is fairly inexpensive for under 100 people. I'm trying to get some ideas of places to call. Thanks ladies!!Meri

Use the reception guide to help look at places. There are a lot of variables that can change your price, including time of day, menu, day of week, # of people, length of reception etc. Here is the link to get you started.

Many catering places have 2 or more rooms that would be able to accommodate a smaller affair....offhand:
Larkfield Manor
Milleridge Cottage (carriagehouse)
Douglaston Manor
Reception House Flushing
Cafe on the Green (Bayside)
San Souci

Sans Souci can accomodate a smaller wedding. I'm having a pretty small wedding. Hoping to keep it to 135 or less. For a Sat. wedding on my date I have a min. of 125, but that may not be the case depending on the day of the week and the time of year. The George Washington Manor is also good for a small wedding.

I highly recommend the Brentwood Country Club. They have a package deal for all the vendors and they have a beatiful facility to get married at and have your reception at! I'm using them and they have been fantastic!!!I would recommend you start looking at halls NOW to book by the end of the year. A small wedding is possible in a short time, you just have to get things settled now or within the next month!
In btw - congrats on the engagement and good luck!!!!!!!!!! FM me with any questions!
