Need advice on what to do at e-party!

Here's my menu for our engagement party this Saturday at our humble dwelling in Brooklyn.

Italian Antipasto Platter
Bruschetta, Olive Tapenade, Fresh Mozarella & Basil on toasted Italian Bread
Guacamole & Salsa with Corn Chips
White Bean Dip with Pita Chips
Spiced Nuts
Lemon and Chocolate Cupcakes (with M&M chocolate on the top)

Drink Menu
Wine (Chardonnay/Riesling/Pinot Noir)
Beer (Bud/Yuengling/Heineken)
Jack Daniel
Vodka
Sake
Soda
Water

We're expecting approx. 40 ppl to come. Favor will be Hershey kisses in favor bags :)

Wondering what people do at e-party ? Please give me advice on what games etc. to do at e-party. I thought we could introduce the wedding party to everyone. It will be 364 days till the wedding!

people normally just mingle, and talk to one another. Someone gives a toast/speech.. if you wanted to your could get a little card game going, they are fun and everyone gets talking

are you going to have a dj - or music playing? i had a dj for mine ... but if you want no music - them maybe make everyone play a game by the married couples writing you and FH advice for a 'healthy marraige' and make them put it anomously in a box - and then maybe someone can read them all out loud ...

It's on my things to do list this week --- to make a CD for music. No DJ. We didn't want to take too much out from our wedding budget for an engagement party! We have two floors and so, first floor will be loungy and the basement will be hip-hop dance music. But, we hope that the weather will be nice enough that we can have everyone in the backyard

let everyone mingle, I think that's what we're doing. Of course we were on the fence about having an e-party(my family is super supersitious) but we decided to have one @ FIL's home. We will make Cd's w/ music in the order we want it played, & allow for mingeling. However we're waiting til the spring, due to my work obligations....

I would relax and not worry. Everyone will be talking and mingling. Everything will go smooth.
The only way I would introduce the wedding party to everyone is if there wouldn't be conflict
For Example (if there is someone that would have thought they would have been in it and isn't).

I just had my eparty! Everyone just hung out and walked around meeting everyone. I had almost 70 people and no one was bored! we had a DJ who everyone loved... so as long as you have music playing u will be okay!!
