Garden City Gazebo (for past brides or BMs, etc)

Hello again!

This question is for anyone who has ever been part of wedding pictures at the Garden City Gazebo.

We are interested in going there between our ceremony and reception, but our only worry is that there will be another couple or so with the same idea. (and then we wont be able to take pictures because the other group will be there)

Has anyone ran into this problem?

Please share either way!

Thanks

Re: Garden City Gazebo (for past brides or BMs, etc)

Its a good question right?

My photographer offered it as a place to go for pics but then cautioned that you don't know for sure that it will be free for your use...

Re: Garden City Gazebo (for past brides or BMs, etc)

I was in a wedding a few years ago and we went to the gazebo for pictures. There were about 3 or 4 other brides there at the same time but you couldn't tell from the pictures. Your photographer will worry about that - don't you. If you want to take pictures there - go for it.

That's my two choices as well... they recommended OWG... and it is so beautiful... I think we will have time so we just have to choose...

Hey thats a good point...

I guess they know how to take pics without showing that other people are there, or they will know where to place me...

I guess I would still feel nervous with alot of other brides running around... even though I shouldn't worry...

Thanks!

We took pics there and there happened to be another bridal party there, but they didn't bother us at all.

I know you pay a permit fee but does that mean you will be the only bride there? or will there still be a few?

Re: Garden City Gazebo (for past brides or BMs, etc)

Hey...

Guess What... Near the GC Train station just around the block from the other Gazebo, across the street from the GC Hotel... they just put another Gazebo there... I saw it the other day!

So now you have 2 options in Garden City...

I also think they just put one on the grass field of St Pauls... I am not positive about that one though.

Good Luck!

Re: Garden City Gazebo (for past brides or BMs, etc)

There were 4 other brides at the gazebo when we got there and I thought I was going to cry. Our photographer told us not to worry, it would be fine. He positioned us in such a way that you can't tell that anyone else was there. Our pics came out great.

I think I would get nervous like that also!!!

I understand now that they can position you certain ways but does having so many brides there limit your options?

Re: Garden City Gazebo (for past brides or BMs, etc)

In the Spring and Summer months you will find this. I love driving by there and seeing a few weddings there at a time. It's so beautiful.
I doubt it would disrupt your pictures, but you may have to figure in a 'few' extra minutes to allow for each group to finish.

Re: Garden City Gazebo (for past brides or BMs, etc)

We were there alone, although another bride showed up as we were finishing up. We were easily able to stay out of each other's way.

As my photographer told me, the area is small enough and utilized enough that the photographers know which shots to get and get them quickly.

Here are a few of the pics that our photographer got with despite all of the other bridal parties...all different backgrounds.
