anyone else with 5-prong rings having/had difficulties finding a weddding band that flushes against your e-ring?

If so, what ring did you choose? I have the option of getting a ring custom made to fit into my e-ring..and i don't want it... i also really don't love the bands that have the curve...

Mine is a solitare and the prongs sit low...anyone else having this problem???

Edited to say..please post pics if u have..tia

Re: anyone else with 5-prong rings having/had difficulties finding a weddding band that flushes against your e-ring?

I have a radiant cut ring that sits low and am having it reset so that it flush fits w/ my band.

That was really important to me. It would have cost more to have something custom made so I am giong to melt down my old setting to serve as a plain band that way I am stiil wearing my original band.

We went w/ the flyer fit collection from martin flyer.

I actually met Gary Flyer personally - it was such a cool experience.

( There are no solitaires on the website, but they are creating some)

I don't have a 5 prong but I have 3 stones. The middle one is bigger than the 2 side stones & it is a very low setting. I ended up getting a channel setting very thin band it isn't flush against my e-ring but it is pretty close--you can't really tell that it isn't flush.

Re: anyone else with 5-prong rings having/had difficulties finding a weddding band that flushes against your e-ring?

I have a 6-prong solitaire, and was amazed at how difficult it was to find a ring that fit flush up against it. I finally was able to find one that is shaped in a slight V sort of shape - I wish I could remember what the jeweler called it. If I can find out, I'll let you know.

ETA: This is not exactly what I have (mine is in white gold, and the V isn't as drastic) but this style was the best fit for my ring which is set pretty high.) Good luck :)

My ring has these two x's on the side of the baguettes that made it impossible to find a ring to go flush against it---I had one made (round edges) with inlaid baguettes and princess cut diamonds, it is not perfect but pretty close--the back of the rings are completely flush. GL.

I have the same style as m&m. Mine is white gold with a 'V' shape so that my e-ring fits in quite nicely. My e-ring is a princess cut that sits rather high.

Re: anyone else with 5-prong rings having/had difficulties finding a weddding band that flushes against your e-ring?

I have the same problem. It's a 6 prong solitaire and nothing sits flush. I did not want to get the matching dvatche band with the curve.

photos I took

This is a good one of the setting - D. Vatche Royal Crown www.dvatche.com.

We are having bands custom made and mine will not sit flush but will be close.

Re: anyone else with 5-prong rings having/had difficulties finding a weddding band that flushes against your e-ring?

With my e-ring, I couldn't have w-band to sit flush aganist it. This is my e-ring(1st pic): Princess center stone and Trillion side stones.

I got 2 w-bands. This is my everyday w-band (2nd pic) and the other (sorry no picture): is a 5 stone w-band--with 3 Princess stones (center) and 2 Trillion stones (1 one on each side of the 3 Princess stones).

Re: anyone else with 5-prong rings having/had difficulties finding a weddding band that flushes against your e-ring?

I have an oval stone and ended up getting a separate band which I wear on my left hand, and I wear my e-ring on my right. I really didn't want to do that, but I was afraid I would end up not liking a custom-curved band, and I really didn't want to take away from my e-ring's antique setting.

I actually love having rings on both hands. It keeps my e-ring separate, which I love to look at by itself.....
