Lombardi's on the Sound (PJCC) - second party room????

Hey girls - Has anyone had a wedding at or attended a wedding at Lombardi's on the Sound since the renovations? I need help!

I really love the cocktail and reception rooms, and I know the food will be yummy, but I was there today to show my parents before I signed the contract and there was a party going on in an upstairs party room. I didn't even know there WAS an upstairs party room!!

There were little kids running around (up and down the stairs and in the lobby) and when we were inside the reception room, they sounded like elephants up there! I also found out that their deck would overlook my deck. Is that weird?

The BM's all tell me no one has ever had any interference from the rooms upstairs, but I would love an honest opinion from anyone who has one!

I haven't been to a wedding there since the renovations but I have been to a bridal shower. I bet once your music is on and your party is going, you would never know there was another party going on. The deck for upstairs I don't believe you can see down onto the one below.

I am getting married and so far no one is booked there since I am getting married on a Sunday night and so I hope it stays that way. I have a DOC so if little kids were running down the stairs, I would ask her to say something about that.

BUMP

I'm hoping some of you working ladies can help me out.... It's almost decision and contract signing time and as the name suggests, this is not my specialty!

TIA!!!

Re: Lombardi's on the Sound (PJCC) - second party room????

I haven't been to a wedding there since the renovations but, I believe there was an event upstairs when I was there. The only time I realized it was when I saw random people in the parking lot.

Everything was amazing. The CH was outside and the view was awesome. The only thing I didn't like at the wedding was that they only had passed apps and the guests were crowding the door so if you weren't right at the door you didn't get anything. They had a buffet at the reception though and I made up for not eating at the cocktail hour. They had a huge seleciton and the food was yummy (they decided to have some of the CH food during the dinner buffet).

Re: Lombardi's on the Sound (PJCC) - second party room????

ahhh don't stress me out and worry me!!! LOL
Well here is the thing, the one right above the reception hall was the nicer of the two rooms it is the Harbor Room. I made a point of putting in the contract that if we have the ceremony inside, we get that room. I am hopeful that they won't book that room. I have a feeling they still will, but then I get to fight with them about breaching a contract LOL.
I am getting married there on a sunday. I feel like there aren't too many crazy parites there during the day. I saw a shower there when i went to look at the place. I didn't see that they could look down on the party at all
With the band or dj, how could anyone hear anything else. I felt the place was different than other places I had been and therefore chose it, even though it is not exactly Perfect. good luck!
