Do I have to have a Flower Girl?

My FH's nephew, and only option for ring bearer, is a MONSTER. Because of this the FH has decided not to have a ring bearer (which I'm perfectly fine with). We are having an adults only reception and don't want to give the family any reason to bring this child. Now, can I get away with not having a flower girl?

No, there is no need for a fg. I've been to many wedding w/ no fg/rb. Most churches don't even allow petals to be thrown.

It's your wedding, you can do whatever you want. The only people required at a wedding are the birde, the groom, a witness, and someone to perform the ceremony - everyone else is window dressing!

Thank you - I didn't think I had to, but when I mentioned it to my mother, who's been pretty laid back throughout this process, I thought she was going to have a heart attack!

I don't have either fg or rb...we just don't have any young kids in our families!!!

We're not having a FG. I've been to plenty of weddings where there wasn't a FG. If you don't want to have one, then don't.

I really wanted a fg but we have no little girls in our families. so no fg here.

It would have been nice, I would've liked to have asked my god daughter, but I DEFINATELY don't want my FHs nephew there as RB and I don't see how I can do 1 without the other....without starting WWIII that is!
