Where can my mother of the groom find a dress?

Hey ladies I'm looking for a dress shop that carries plus sizes for my 56yr old MOG. She needs something that flatters her short roundish figure, but also doesn't make her look like an old maid. She is still young looking and attractive and I want her to feel that way on the big day. Any PICS or suggestions of places where I might find a nice gown for her?

My mom got hers at Sugarplum..and I asked about my FMIL (she's plus size too) They carry it there..i believe up to size 24.

I do beli9eve my MIL bought hers at Macy's. So did my mom.

My mom bought her gown at the same place I bought my gown (Adrienne's in Islip) My FMIL hasn't looked yet.

Yes, I heard this place is great!

i strongly disagree. unless you want to be ridulously overcharged by their 'one of a kind'

'they don't know the designer'

dresses, stay away!

i took my plus sized mom all over and she bought her dress at the new bridal store in baldwin. queen of hearts in bellmore or merrick has a TON of dresses--all plus size--but they are $$$

My mother is a plus size as well and bought a beautiful gown from Colwater Creek (They have a store in the Huntington Mall). I posted it below for reference.

Lord and Taylor has really nice dressy selection of 'woman's ' sizes

OOH you have to go to Estelle's Dressy Dresses in Farmingdale. (on Rt. 110) I was just there to get a dress to wear to a wedding next wkend. They have a HUGE selection, and all kinds of sizes....misses..womans..etc..
