Please help...tux question. Post pics if you have them.

My BM dresses are Bill Levkoff European Sky Blue w/ a black trim. My dress is Diamond White. FH and I are browsing around for tuxes and one question has come up. FH is doing black tux w/ black tie and vest as of now because the white vests don't seem to coordinate well w/ my dress. As far as the Groomsmen though, what are my tie/vest color options? The girl at one of the places we went to said that if we have the groomsmen in the same color tie/vest as the girls dresses it will look too much like a prom. She suggested silver instead. I am not sure if I really like it to be honest. I was wondering if anyone had any pictures they could show me of their BP's that had blue BM dresses and what the GM wore. TIA!

There's silver and there's also platinum. Platinum was nice. OR could you have your FH in silver or platinum and then the GM's in black?

I've got to find pics of the platinum...they did not show us that at all. They just showed me stark white and said that would be fine.

Yeah platinum is nice. FH is wearing that or white, but its not a plain white. It has a white on white pattern so that in the light it doesn't come off so whiteish - if that makes sense. Definitely look at more options.

It never occured to me that matching the GM ties/vest with the girls dresses would make it look like a prom. My girls are in a deep burgundy, and the guys ties etc match.

I had sky blue dresses on my girls and I ended up ( I mean DH ended up...) picking a really nice black and skyblue embroidered vest and tie. It had a blue background with black flower like embroidered. I didn't think it looked like prom. You can't really see the vest on the pics that i have scanned sorry!

His guys are wearing silver, him ivory, fathers charcoal. Hope that helps!

You could see pictures of my BO in my review, posted on The Bride's Review board. My girls wore blue and my guys wore silver and IMO it looked great.

We are doing the groomsmen in a black tux and black vests, but their ties are striped and have the color of the girls dresses in the stripes. The girls are wearing dark silver.
