Help with Poll:: Hair (Long with lots of pics)

I've been having this ongoing battle with what style I want for my hair. I really love half-up/hal-down (well, it's been more down variations) but I still don't know if I should be doing a simple updo!

All my trials have been half-up and half-down styles, because that's what I really love but I just feel like they're not complimenting me how I wanted.

Anyway, I'd love your opinions, attached below are various pictures of my last trial, which was with Denise Venti. She really took a lot of time with me, and we tried our four different variations. Some may look similiar but they are slightly different. Some also look a bit messy, we were taking it out and putting it back together to try things out so I look a bit frizzy in some. Sorry for the silly half-dead faces in the pictures!

Trial #1:: Similiar to that famous Melissa Sweet picture, the top portion was higher up on my head, which is hard to see









Trial #2:: The top part was brought down a bit, it was similiar to Tiffani-Amber Thiessen's hair style









Yes, this is tissue paper on the back on my head! LOL



Trial #3:: We pulled the top part of my hair back away from my face, instead of a side part





Trial #4:: A Variation of #3, we pulled more from the sides and make a more intricate back





I've ordered a crystal comb and two orchid hair pins from Thomas Knoell for my hair accessories and my dress is strapless.

Any thoughts? Should I try maybe a simple updo like these instead:

I like #4 the best. I also like the simple updo of the fist photo you posted as a potential do.

I think they all look pretty, I love the back on the 4th, but i think if you're not happy you should try an updo just to see! You have beautiful hair!

I know for certain that the half-up half down looks stunning on you. It frames your face beautifully and I would be showing off that gorgeous hair of yours!!!!

Now, as far as the pics go...I'm torn between number 1 and number 4. For the poll, I voted number 1, just b/c I think it's more romantic and whimsical. However, I love number 4 as well b/c it's a little more mature.

The decision is honestly up to you. Do you want to go for the more 'flirty' look or the more 'formal' look. Flirty - number 1, Formal - number 4.

That's my honest opinion!

I think #3 looks stunning and different in a good way, but honestly they all look stunning on you.

I am a fan of #3 too, but it you are really torn, try the updo styles... and see what goes better with your dress.

it all looks great though...it's just a matter of what you ultimately like for your wedding

So... trial #3 has officially been added to my down do hair file (momma Bgene may I?)!!!! I totally was just playing with my hair in the mirror last night and whipped that one up! I like it the best for the down do's. To me it just seems more chic in the moment but still timeless. And oh the thrill of not taking out 9,000 bobby pins at the end of the night!

I would also say, you've had so many trials... how could you not do an updo one?! Even if it's just you and your friends farting around and taking 3 hours to do it! Just to see... I would try the last one with the little clips. That's always been a favorite of mine. You have a similar sleek, structured profile like that girl and a nice long neck so the up do but back and down would look great on you.

So... for this... my vote is #3 until I see an all up do!

I love #3 on you! But, definitely try an updo if you're not 100% sure, you may like that the best!! So, I agree with Denise... I voted for #3, but that's without seeing an updo on you.

if you're going to go with half up i'd do number 4 but i guess it wouldn't hurt to try an updo as well.

Okay, I like the first 1/2 up 1/2 down do of all the pics of you, but I LOVE the first updo pic you posted.

My next trial is Monday night, I'll definitely try and updo as well as half up/half down with this stylist and see how they come out.

Denise, you can take whatever picture you would like!

I love #3 and I am NOT a fan of updos at all. Oh, forgot to say - you're gorgeous in ALL of them, I just liked #3 best

I love styles 1 & 3, although I have to say overall the half-up half-down look is beautiful on you and very flattering, IMO.

And if you're still unsure, definitely try an updo!!

I wasn't sure either and after my hair trial which was half-up half-down I said I love it but I *need* to see it in an updo just so I can be sure. She fiddled with it a bit (it wasn't anything too formal) but at least I got to see it and KNOW for sure how I wanted my hair

I do like #1 the best but I feel you could wear your hair either of these ways.

I like #3 best! I would try an up-do, it couldn't hurt. At least you will know what it would look like.
