Save the Date and Registry Question?

I am 99% sure that I am not having an engagement party. I do though have a ton of people asking me if I am registered anywhere. Is it cheesy to put the Registry cards in when I send the STD's out or if anyone has a better idea?

Thanks

Re: Save the Date and Registry Question?

I honestly believe that Registry Cards should ONLY be put in the shower invitations.

I think word of mouth is best when it comes to STD's and Engagement Parties.

Since people are asking you - tell them, don't be shy. However, putting them in the STD's - I think that's a no-no from my end.

Re: Save the Date and Registry Question?

i say word of mouth -- putting registry in STD's might put some people off and think it's tacky or something.

the registry cards should only be in the shower invites--and even some ppl think THAT's bad and it should be all word of mouth.

word of mouth... you can also have a wedding website that you can put on your std, on the site you can list the places you have registered

Re: Save the Date and Registry Question?

OK, I thought that also.

I have a big mouth, so that won't be a problem

Thanks ladies

Re: Save the Date and Registry Question?

registry cards only went in my shower invitations. My STD's - which have yet to go out, will have my wedding website on the bottom. And if people ask me where I'm registered, I tell them (and if I want things purchased off of one registry more than the other, I'll only mention that registry.)

IMO, registry cards do not belong in STDs.
