I was having a 'I've been feeling crappy, let's go out and have fun and be frivolous and not worry about how much money I'm spending for once' night... which was fun, and I only felt slightly guilty about it... And then I was on ebay checking on a couple of things I'm selling, and I was looking at similar stuff for price comparison and I noticed these adorable earrings, so I thought 'woohoo, be frivolous, they're not that much, just bid!' So I did, but I wasn't the highest bidder yet. So I bid again, a bit more than was originally planned, but still only $20 plus tax and shipping (they're in NYS, so I have to pay tax)... and then I just went back and checked if I was still the highest and I noticed that the guy DOES NOT TAKE PAYPAL! I have to pay with a credit card on some other server thing... I really don't feel comfortable with that because I have to use a debit card... ****. I don't know what to do . I then went and read his feedback and realized that what I'd read as Tiffany earrings were actually Tiffany knock-offs... this seller just puts Tiffany in the title but never actually says flat out that they are genuine Tiffany... never mentions it in the description. Just puts it in the title and uses the stock Tiffany photo of the earrings and essentially tricks you into thinking you're getting real Tiffany, and I saw on his feedback several people left comments that the jewelry was not of the quality they expected, so they're probably not even good knockoffs! I'm not at all about designers and all that, I just like to feel that I'm getting what I'm told I'll be getting.

Ug. I can't believe I was so stupid. Usually I'm so careful about double checking these things when I buy on ebay. The auction ends in the morning, so I don't think I'll be outbid, and I don't know what I'm going to do about how I will pay the guy for these earrings I don't even want anymore. This is what I get for deciding to throw caution to the winds for an evening!

eta: whew! Somebody outbid me! I'm very relieved, but I still feel stupid. It's good to let loose a little every once in a while, but I still need to think a little when I do...
