Re: Dinner...
Yes..the food is good and the portions are tremendous BUT if you go on a Friday or Saturday night beware of the extremely long wait. The last time I was there we waited 90 minutes for a table. If you have 6 or more people you can call ahead.

Re: Dinner...
just went to the one in commack on wed. night. now i know some ppl just LOVE this place--but i am not quite in the same boat. (it was so-so in my opinion)if you are looking for a romantic quiet restaurant--this is NOT for you! the food was decent, but i felt the atmosphere annoyed the heck out of me. it's too crowded and loud in there. some heavyset guy was murdering frank sinatra songs karaoke style....oh and if you go on the weekend--be prepared to wait anywhere between 1-3 hrs. for a table.
also--the menu is very very limited. (since they change it every week) and they only have about 7-9 dinner items. the food is 'made to order' which means you will wait forever for it to come out of the kitchen. the proportions are ridicilious---too huge for words IMO
my dinner came out fine, but FH's dinner was cold. he was so annoyed he didn't bother sending it back. the clams we got for an appetizer were good--and my stuffed rigatoni was yummy, but his dinner stunk.
the volcano desert is ridicliously huge, but tastes delicious

Re: Dinner...
I agree with mjdoc12, I'm not a big fan. The waiters go through this 15 min. monologue in the beginning about the type of pasta they have there, even though I told them I know what pasta is, and the food, although large in portion, was not that great. The prices aren't bad, but for what they charge I would rather have half the quantity and better quality.
