for those who got married at the reception hall and had pics taken before the ceremony

did you wear another dress for the pictures? i'm concerned that if i wear my dress for the pics, it might get dirty from grass and dirt and be a disastrous site when i walk down the aisle. any thoughts?

Usually everyone around you( BParty, Photographers, family) will help lift your gown's bottom off of the ground to help you out. I even went to a wdding one time that the limo drivers played the brides attendant for the day!!! It was cute!

wow, I've never heard that question being asked.

I took pics for 3 hours before my ceremony at the hall and I wore my wedding gown all day, it was fine.

Re: for those who got married at the reception hall and had pics taken before the ceremony

I'll let you know after April 30th, but I have no intentions of wearing a different dress.

One suggestion I've heard on here is to have a small white sheet to place under your dress so it doesn't get dirty.

Plus, if it does get dirty, it will be on the underside of the dress, which no one will see anyway, and any bridal attendant that is there at your hall can most likely get any major stains out fast.

This is also what an emergency kit is for!!

Well. I will let you know in a few months. But your BM's will help you lift up the dress, and for the little bit of dirt that might get on the underside of the dress... I am sure no one will notice that as you walk down the aisle.

Re: for those who got married at the reception hall and had pics taken before the ceremony

We took pics all over the North Fork before the ceremony, which included some grassy fields, a barn, etc. It's totally going to be fine. What I highly recommend is that you buy a lot of those Shout wipes. My wonderful BMs used the wipes to wipe the obvious dirts from my dress before the ceremony, and they worked great!!

I wore the same dress the entire time and didn't have a problem. I just kept lifting it up when we walked across the grass at the arboretum. We also took pics on the beach and it didn't get dirty.

Re: for those who got married at the reception hall and had pics taken before the ceremony

thats a good question. We took pics after the ceremony and the bottom of my dress was filthy afterwards. I was all in the grass and everything. It was the bottom of it so no one but me really noticed it. When I complained to my bridesmaids they couldn't see it so I felt better.

be very careful. Pick up your dress all the way. Don't let it touch the ground at all.
