Holiday Inn in Stony Brook

Any one have feedback about this hotel?

I'm having a hard time getting my contract from them for a room block and am starting to rethink my decision to use them as a second hotel for my OOT guests.

as always, TIA!!

Re: Holiday Inn in Stony Brook

We looked at that hotel but didn't block rooms because we thought the 347 location, while completely central, was too far away from LIE, and b/c it's an Express hotel, they have no bellhops.

Re: Holiday Inn in Stony Brook

my friend blocked there and had no problems, although they werent the greatest when she set the blocks up... we only booked at Danfords because the area is nicer for my OOT guests without cars...

I am booking there - haven't had any problems. Deneane is the manager. Speak to her and she'll help.

Re: Holiday Inn in Stony Brook

As an aside, we considered Danford's too - we checked out both hotels. The room that the salesperson took us into at Danford's was old and smelled like mildew! Maybe they have nicer rooms, but that is the one they showed us. I agree it's in a nicer area, but the Holiday Inn is newly renovated and also less expensive for our OOT guests....
