Crock pot recipes

I've yet to break out my crockpot, but hear people rave about them. So I was wondering if anyone had any good recipes that I would break it in with.

Thanks

Re: Crock pot recipes

Very easy to use... I have quickly fallen in love with my crock pot... take a loin of pork, pour a bottle of favorite bbq sauce over it, and let simmer on high for 3 hours... longer if you want pulled pork.... can do this with any type of meat... we had a roast in it tonight! Comes out very tender and juicy!

Re: Crock pot recipes

Put cut potatoes & carrots on bottom of crock, and throw a whole chicken in there (seasoned w/salt & pepper, poultry seasoning and brush w/melted butter)...you can stuff chicken with herbs (rosemary is nice) and even an apple or lemons. It adds a nice flavor to the chicken while it cooks. Cook on any setting.
VIOLA! Tender juicy chicken...the outside even browns nice!

Re: Crock pot recipes

Pot Roast- Brown in Frying pan on all sides. Place in Crock pot Fill crock pot with water until roast is covered, add 4-5 beef bullion cubes, and a small cut onion (optional). Cook on low for 7-10 hours, add fresh string beans, carrots (or whatever Veg you like) With an hour to spare. This is good if you aren't a fan of thick 'gravy'sauces.
