Dog Groomer recommendations?
I live in North Babylon. I can't seem to find one that I like and that also treats my dog right..The last place I went to I had a 8am appt on Sat. I was there at 7:55 a.m. I waited until 8:15.. I should have left at that point but he really needed a gromming.. she shows up at 8:20! Does not even apologize and says something like.. Oh I'm always late, just wait for me if I am.. I'm like umm no that's not the way to keep customers.. Then she told me she would definitely be done by 9:30 well I walk in at 9:30 he was still on the table.. so I waited patiently.. I'm watching her to see how she is handling him and she's pulling his ears back and saying in such a harsh tone.. 'do I have to pull your ears back again?' UGH that was it, I was like That's it!! You're done.. I'd like to take my dog now. She was doing such a horrible job.. anyway..
sorry to keep rambling.. it just pissed me off that she was so mean and unprofessional.
Can anyone recommend a reputable dog grooming place near Babylon? Even if it's a little further I don't mind.. as long as I get good service!
Thanks!

Re: Dog Groomer recommendations?
I don't have a rec for you b/c I'm in Queens. But, my dog is currently at the vet's office b/c he got Kennel Cough from the groomers which led to an upper resp. infection. My dog wasn't up to date with his Kennel Cough vaccination, just wanted you to be aware that your dog should be up to date b/f grooming.

Could you tell me where in Bayside? I live in Douglaston and so is the place I went too, but since my dog got Kennel Cough there, I'd prefer to go somewhere else. Thanks.

Re: Dog Groomer recommendations?
Tina, I use a mobil groomer who comes in front of my house. Their two vans are new and clean. Patti has one van and her husband, Joe, has the other. They have their own water so they don't ask me for anything. I would never take my dog to a grooming 'salon' again. I had to leave him there 6 hours and he was withdrawn and definitely not himself when I picked him up. I couldn't recommend either one more. They take 45 minutes and do a great job. They live in Flushing and they would definitely go to Douglaston. They come to me in Nassau county.BellaEyes, I'm sorry I didn't answer your question about Babylon though. Maybe you can find a mobil groomer out by you.
