Did anyone see the article in the Daily News today??

There was an article in the Daily News (i think that was the newspaper) about the bride who got married from Long Island yesterday in the blizzard. They showed a pic of her and said the church was in West Hempstead and the Reception was at Russo's on the Bay. Was this any of our girls?????

I feel so bad for her..I was thinking yesterday...man I hope noone is getting married today.....how awful!

But only 30 cancelled?? thats really not that bad!

For all that weather 30 isnt' bad at all!

I wanted a Jan-Feb wedding but, my mom said no because we have so many people travelling in.

30 is not bad for cancellations during a blizzzard. I bet those 30 were local guests since the OOT people were in NY from Friday or Saturday.

30 people cancelling - that's bad - at least in my honest opinion, about $5,000 bad. That's not so much a 'drop in the bucket.' But hey, she wanted it then even when her father insisted, and she got what she wanted right?

Had she listedn to daddy, they would have broken pretty even in another month....

Oh my goodness! My cousin got married on Saturday night and I was worried for him that people wouldn't come because the reception went until midnight...I can't imagine waking up on my wedding day to a blizzard!!

FH and I actually considered getting married in Jan or Feb to save some money. But my nervous stomach couldn't handle it. Thus, the wedding is in May.
