Re: Sandals St. Lucia HELP!
I have heard the best is the Grande, then the Regency. We had booked our HM at both, 4 nights at the Grande and 4 nights at the Regency. but then I learned they would be goung through construction while we are there, and then i read some not great reviews on trip advisor so I decided to switch it to Secrets in Punta cana

Re: Sandals St. Lucia HELP!
We booked the Grande in Sandals St. Lucia. Our 'Sandals Expert Official' TA told us that the Grande was the best out of the 3. But you're going to hear MANY opinions about each one, good and bad, so be prepared. You can use all 3 facilities, it's just where you plan on sleeping.

Re: Sandals St. Lucia HELP!
I went to the one in St. Lucia and stayed at the Grande. everyone that we spoke to there was having the same expierence..and when we were in the pool everyday we over heard people complaining about it too. I worte a letter to them and they could care less. I would never go there again. I hate that I have to remember my honeymoon that way. We met a great couple who will still hang out with..if it weren't for them we would have left early.

Re: Sandals St. Lucia HELP!
OH MY MY! So Weird, I actually was there recently for my sisters wedding, and it was beautiful! Im sorry you had a terrible experience. When did you go? I was there Last week in december and it was A++++++++You should call your travel agent too and tell her what a bad time you had, maybe she can give you money back or something. Thats also cool you met people.. Thats whats great about that place I hear is that when you are on your honeymoon you meet other honeymooners. i was there for a wedding and didnt get to mingle with other couples. But the food i thought was great for a allincusive type deal, and my room which was called the honeymoon concerge something or another was quite beautiful.
I feel terrible that you did not enjoy your HM.. Maybe you should plan another trip to make you feel better

Re: Sandals St. Lucia HELP!
We almost booked the regency, but went to Hawaii because I was afraid of the Caribbean in Hurricane season. Our TA recommended the Regency over the Grande because the Grande used to be owned by a hotel ( I think it was Hyatt or Hilton) and they said it didn't have the same 'Caribbean feel.' They ( the travel agents - a married couple) loved the cliffside rooms at the Regency. They said the view was amazing. They also said it was the quieter, more 'romantic' resort.

Re: Sandals St. Lucia HELP!
We just got back from the Grande, we visited the Regency and Halcyon when we were there. We thought each one was very nice. The Halcyon was smaller, quiet, very quaint with beautiful gardens and landscaping. The Regency was big, we couldn't get a real feel for it because we were walking around and didn't realize it went back further, so we only saw a portion of it.
The Grande was great, very clean, a lot of pools to choose from, great spa, nice beach, good food. The people who worked there were GREAT - totally professional and friendly, absolutely no complaints. We didn't pass a single person who did not say hello or good morning to us. I am sorry that other poster had a bad experience, but it doesn't sound like the Grande that we stayed at. We had a luxury oceanfront room, it overlooked the ocean rather than the bay-it was very quiet and private which is what we wanted.
FM me if you want anymore details.

Re: Sandals St. Lucia HELP!
I have been to St.Lucia 2x. Both times I stayed at the Grande St. Lucian, but I visited the other resorts for comparison...in my opinion the Grande blows them away....I would only stay there! Infact I want to go back again!

Re: Sandals St. Lucia HELP!
I just got back from Sandals Grande. It was very nice. Here's the difference. Grande is bigger, more restaurants and a nice sandy beach.
The others are smaller. I heard Regency doesn't have as nice as a beach.
Halcyon is the smallest I think.

I just got back on Wed. I stayed at the regency but we went to the Grande for dinner a few times. The Grand is the newer hotel. Looks a lot nicer and is bigger in the main area. They also have better liquor too. The regency is more lushious though. I enjoyed walking around the resort. I liked where the regency was located better. I really liked both and always had great service. I agree with you on the Halycan. From the bus it looked run down. I never ate there just drove by when the bus would bring you to each sandles if you wanted to visit or eat dinner.
