How are you asking your BM to be your wedding?

Hey girls,

Is anyone doing anything special to ask their friends or family to be in their wedding party?

Just curious because i saw these cute cards online that were specific to Brides maids

I'm ordering Will you Be My Bridesmaid cards from Isadora Ink. Then in July me and FH are hosting a Luau themed party in my backyard for our entire bridal party. we thought it would be a great way for everyone to get to know eachother and that's when I'll be handing out the cards to my girls and FH possibly make the announcement of who he's picking for his best man

I did mine early and wrote a nice note in the girls' Christmas cards...asking if they would do me the honor of being a part of my wedding day. My cousin started crying and jumping up and down since she had no clue I was going to ask her!

I'm doing the bridesmaids poems on nice paper and putting them in frames and giving them to my girls at my engagement party!

I just called them and asked. I'm not very creative.

I asked each one of them in my own way. My MHO, I took out to a nice dinner and toasted to our friendship and asked (She was hysterical crying), the others I asked either at a dinner or out drinking one night.

i asked them in person but then i sent little cards out saying i'm so happy they will be my bridesmaid

I asked each girl individually and made each one a card...I went a little crazy in Michael's crafts, but the cards came out great! :)

I ordered these cute b/w white bridesmaids books from Barnes and noble. I asked each of them in person (separately) and wrote how each of them are important to me inside the book!

Since I'm only having a MOH, I got a beautiful arrangement of flowers and showed up at her door. I wrote 'Will you be my MOH' on the Card.

My approach was similar to D's girl. I wanted to do something special for each girl.
I invited my two cousins to dinner and asked them during dessert.

I took another friend out for dinner alone and asked her.

I took another for a facial and asked her over lunch.

Unfortunatley my Best Friend/MOH lives in North Carolina so she only got a phone call...I think I will be sending her flowers or something soon



My FSIL invited herself so I guess there was no need for a formal invitation from me, but thats a story for another board

I sent them this poem:

The day, the dress
The bride, the groom
The joy, the tears
Will all come so soon

Professing true love
To my husband-to-be
With family and friends
All watching me

I hope the sun will
Be shining down,
Keep your fingers crossed
That I'll fit in my gown…

But there's just one more thing
that there needs to be…
and that's to have you
Standing with me!
Will you be my bridesmaid?

I gave them each a picture frame w/ 2 pics of us together and a bridesmaid poem in the middle
