Different color wedding bands?

Fh wants to get gold, but my e-ring is platinum and my wedding band will be also. I said we should match....does it matter if he gets gold? My mom said he should get what he will feel the most comfortable in. I started laughing and said she should be on my side...
What do you think??

I think he should get what he likes best. He's the one who has to wear it and look at it everyday.

I think its ok, if they don't match.

My wedding band and e-ring are platinum. FH's wedding band is white gold.

i think if your FH wants gold and you want platinum then you should let him do that; put yourself in his shoes. they dont have to match.

let him try rings on and see what looks best on his finger. my FH wanted yellow gold as well, and i didnt want that. then we went to try on some and yellow gold didnt look right on his finger.

try some on, that may help your point.
