Anyone planning on moving out-of-state...

after the wedding?

I'm almost positive that we'll be moving to South Carolina...nervous about it but I want a house and we won't be able to afford to live here with the pricetag on everything.

Re: Anyone planning on moving out-of-state...

We will be looking in South Jersey and PA...
LI is too expensive as is North Jersey where we are renting a house now...

Re: Anyone planning on moving out-of-state...

We have been looking at South Carolina recently too. Just can't do it here.
I will miss it, but I want to buy a home not rent for the rest of my life!

I know the feeling. FH,a nd I now own two houses in North Carolina, in which we bought foreclosed. Did a little rennovating, and rented them out. we're now looking to buy one more down there for our future. (2007 a year after the wedding)

Though we love NY, it's ridiculous how pricey things can be

Re: Anyone planning on moving out-of-state...

Yes, maybe in the next few months! FH is temporarily working in South Jersey and really likes it down there, I will be going for a visit next weekend to check it out. A house is very important to us. It is an opportunity to move and for FH to keep his NY salary!

Re: Anyone planning on moving out-of-state...

My parents offered to put a dormer on their house and it's very nice of them to think of us. It'd be convenient too but I feel like if we do that we'd be stuck paying it off forever. Plus If we were to get an apartment I have a pitbull and I'd never give her up and most apartments would never accept a dog especially a pitbull!

Re: Anyone planning on moving out-of-state...

Well my brother is moving to Summerville which is right near Charleston...we'd like to live near them but not too sure where yet. Hilton Head & Myrtle Beach has a lotta of great opportunities for my FH to work as a chef.
We really have to start looking into it.

Re: Anyone planning on moving out-of-state...

We are discussing Atlanta...I am scared to move there because everything I know is here but I think it will be for the better...i agree it is way too expensive here and we want to actually own a house. It is a tough decision to make!
