Asking Flower Girls?

What is the best way to invite flower girls to be in your wedding? How do you approach the parents?

Re: Asking Flower Girls?

My FH and I first spoke with the parents. Then we asked our flower girl....who is 5 years old. She proceeded to tell me how she wanted a necklace because when she was in her Aunt's wedding she got a necklace. Kids are so bold...lol

Re: Asking Flower Girls?

My mom kinda of leaked it to my cousin whos daughter is my fg, so I never really asked her. Then my other cousin's daughter who is jr. bridesmaid I just asked my cousin. When my aunt gave me my engagement present the little girl who is a jr. bridesmaid was watching me open the present. So my aunt (her grandmother) said you know Jenny that's b/c she is getting married and you are going to be in the wedding. So she looks at her grandma and is like I KNOW GRANDMA (as if the information was so old that her grandma was boring her with the details)

Re: Asking Flower Girls?

Our FG is FI's cousins daughter. So FI asked his cousin and he said his daughter (who's 3 yrs old) would love to be in the wedding.

So at the engagement party we wanted to give her a little something, so we gave her the Barbie Bride and she was the happiest kid!

aww thats soooo cute. I want to do something like that too. I'm having personalized cards made for all the BM's and the flowergirl but then I wanted to give the little girl (my cousin's daughter) a cute gift and the Barbie Bride sounds great!

Re: Asking Flower Girls?

Well I'm using my daughter, and my god daughter. They're soo close, so when my daughter found out about myself, and her dad finally getting marriedher response was....

'Well MiMi (my godaughter) can't have the same dress as me, but we could have the same shoes if you want me in your wedding

The nerve of her (mind you we hadn't planned on using MIMI as another FG)it was just my daughter, but since she suggested it, and they're very close, I asked my my friend(MIMI's mom) while Tejanah(my daughter) asked MIMI

Kids are soo cute

Re: Asking Flower Girls?

My cousin had triplets almost 3 years ago (2 girls and 1 boy) so I asked my cousin, since they are only 2 now. I figured I'll talk to them more about it as the day draws nearer so they'll be able to understand a little bit.
