My wedding is in October and I want to have a fabolous tan for it but dont wanna look orange. I have never gone tanning before and am worried that it will look fake. When should I start tanning? And does anyone recommend a certain place preferably in Queens or Nassau county???

Re: Tanning Question

I started Tanning already.. ( april wedding) only b/c I want the look for my BS too. I am going to Darkside tanning in Deer park/ No. Babylon. They have 1 stand up tan that I use- its 17.00 per session- after the 1st session I saw Results immediatly. Def. tell them ur situation and if they are a good place they will help you out with the lotions and things... HTH

Re: Tanning Question

You look like you have Olive skin, so Sept should be fine. Here is what I wrote to someone else regarding tanning. Hope this helps. This is something I know all to well. If you want to start tanning I'd say go maybe 3 times a week for like 5 to 7 minutes at a time depending on how strong the bulbs are. This will gradually increase your color without burning. It may seem like a little, but if you do say 10 minutes, you may burn, and not be able to go back untill you heal. I have read many reviews about the spray on tanning and it only lasts for a few days and you have a bit of a glow to you for the first time. You would have to go I'd say 2 or 3 times to get the dark tan you want or may not want to achieve. Airbrush can be a mess, because it has a tendency to wipe off and get on your clothes, and besides that when it washes off it streaks like the spray tan.It can also have an orange tinge to it. Stick to tanning, and maybe a little bronzer for face.

Re: Tanning Question

I would start tanning 2 months before the wedding and ask the tanning salon what is there best browning bed, Tanning salons really don't make you look orange its those self tanners. You just don't want to burn
