Pregnant Bridesmaid - Dress Dilemma - Pix Please!

One of my bridesmaids is hoping to get pregnant in April, so she'll be about 5 months pregnant in September for my wedding. This will be her second pregnancy, and for her first, she barely looked pregnant - even at her baby shower! Who knows how she'll pop this time around.

I'm not concerned about the fact that she'll be pregnant, but I am concerned about the BM dress choice I've made. I've decided on Bill Levkoff, Euro Satin, tea length...and letting each girl pick the dress they like in Euro Navy.

The to-be-prego BM seemed to think something with a sheer overlay would be flattering - but that would look too different from the satin that I like, and there aren't enough options in that style for each girl to have something different - which I really want.

Is it bad to put a prego BM in a satin dress? I think any empire waist a-line will work well...is that right?

I want her to be comfortable, that's why I'm letting each girl pick a diff dress - but I also want some uniformity so it doesn't look silly.

If you have any pix of prego BM - slight pop - I'd appreciate.

Any suggestions?

Re: Pregnant Bridesmaid - Dress Dilemma - Pix Please!

Hi,

My fiance's sister is going to be 8 months pregnant for my wedding. I had to change the original bridesmaid dress I liked because it would not flatter a pregnant woman. I had to find her a maternity dress that would match the rest of the girls. I came up with this dress that she loved and would look adorable in. The other girls dresses almost match the style but are non-maternity. I recommend a dress that is empire waist and A-line for a pregnant bridesmaid. I chose a chiffon dress because I thought that material would be most flattering. Here's a pic of the dress I chose for her. I hope this helps!

My FSIL popped the news that she's hoping to be 3 months pregnant by our wedding. It's a good thing she mentioned it now, but she didn't say it to me. Last pregnancy she was showing by 3 months.

My Cousin who was one of my bridesmaids also recently told me she is pregnant. She will be 7 1/2 months by the wedding. She gracefully stepped out of the wedding party since she lives in Florida and wasn't sure if she'd be able to fly etc. A friend from college who actually is almost the same size as my cousin has agreed to be a replacement bridesmaid. The dress which we already have just needs minor adjustments so that worked out well.

Re: Pregnant Bridesmaid - Dress Dilemma - Pix Please!

im in the same situation - some bridal salons have told me they can cut 'football-like' cuts on either side of the dress.. you order extra material when ordering the dress.. problem is she wont know how big she will be so she is ordering a BBIIIGGGG dress and just taking it in...

im assuming it will be A LOT of money in alterations - so if anyone has any cute pics - that would be appreciated.... Thanks...

One of my BM told me she was pregnant as soon as she found out. We ordered Bill Levkoff dresses a while ago and she'll be about 4 months for the wedding. I dunno what's gonna happen.
