Deseversky v. Venetian Yacht Club

I am planning a bridal shower and can't choose between these two locations. Can anyone who's been to an event at either give me a rundown of pros & cons? thanks!

VYC is beautiful, but I would think that it would be too big for a bridal shower. The rooms would look empty with less than 100 people.

Re: Deseversky v. Venetian Yacht Club

I have never been to the VYC (use to be John Anthony's right?). But I can tell you that Deseversky is amazing - a really unique mansion and the food is cooked but the culunary institute so it is really good. I would look at both places and see whar kind of feel you want. Deseversky is old world charm while VYC is water front. Two different kinds of venue.
Good Luck!

Re: Deseversky v. Venetian Yacht Club

i actually went to see both rooms. they are both very different, but beautiful in their own way. the room we would have is actually what i believe is the cocktail hour room for the downstairs venue, so the size of the room would be perfect. i love the way it's surrounded by windows and if it's a nice day, the room will be flooded with light.

i guess what i'm most concerned about is the quality of the food & service since i haven't been to an event at either venue and since vyc just changed hands.
