Aisle Runner Question
Does everyone walk down on the aisle runner? Or is it rolled out right before I walk down? I found a personalized aisle runner that I really like, but will I be the only one that sees it?

You can have the runner rolled out prior to the ceremony starting like this

Re: Aisle Runner Question
I'm pretty sure that everyone walks down it. It should be there when your guests arrive too.

hmmm, i guess that makes sense. does that ruin the runner before i even get to it? i know i've seen a runner, but i haven't ever touched one - don't even know what its made of

Re: Aisle Runner Question
it depends on ow your guest enter will they see the alise runner...in my ceremony, we didn't allow anybody to walk down it before hand. i would say people towards the alise and who had to walk past it saw it. some that grab the seat at the end (before crossing over) never saw it

Re: Aisle Runner Question
I'm not having an aisle runner, just rose petals on the sides.

Re: Aisle Runner Question
I plan on making our aisle runner and felt the same way. I want our guests to see it when they arrive (outdoor ceremony) and get excited about the day to come! I think I will have it out but roped off so guests are seated from the outside. So just the bridal party will walk on it and they all should have clean new shoes!!!

I'm not using a runner because of the way the aisle is at my church with the baptismal fountain. However, those weddings I have been to, and I'm been to dozens, the aisle runner is brought down before the bridemaids walk down.

We had ours rolled out the entire time...We did too much work on it to have the guest only see it during the ceremony. It was a great conversation piece as they waited for the ceremony to begin.
None of the guest walked down the aisle. They all entered from the sides. The aisle s/b reserved just for family, bridal party, etc.

Re: Aisle Runner Question
I had this same question....I wanted mine layed out so when my guests arrive they will see it but they can enter the pews from the side aisles. Only the Bridal Party will walk on it. However a friend of mine told me you are supposed to put it out after the BMs walk down but before the flower girls so they can throw petals on this for you....Is this true? to me this is like a disruption in your processional please share any infoTIA
