Photo Timeline for the big day?

Hey ladies, once again I need your infinite wisdom!

So we booked our photographer today, 2 of them one for 5 hrs and one for 8. We're having the ceremony/reception at the same place, ceremony between 12pm-12:30 w/CH right afterwards.
the 5hr photographer wants to start taking pics of me at 7:30am, leaving right after the ceremony, the other would start w/FH at about 9am and stay till the end of the reception....does 7:30 sound too early? That would give us 5 hrs for BP and family pics. And does it sound right that we would only have 1 photographer during the reception? I am completely clueless, FH kind of wants both photographers at the reception for at least until the cake cutting...

Re: Photo Timeline for the big day?

I think 7:30 sounds a bit too early for a 12 o'clock ceremony. I like the other photographer's idea of 9. I know personally, I would want both photographers at my reception.

Re: Photo Timeline for the big day?

730 to take pictures? IMO too early. You want that makeup fresh!!!! Ok so your ceremony is at 12/1230- I would have the photographer start taking pics of you, your family and girls the latest 10 am. the other photographer can also take the photos of the guys at 9 or 10- really not much to take of the guys. then after the ceremony, yes take all pics, family etc. and for the reception, I would DEF have 2 photographers! I had 2 photographers with me from the moment I walked in my door to get ready till the end. they took pics of the guys at the church all of 30 minutes, they dont need a lot of time with the guys, you yes.

oh wait I just re read your post- are you seeing FH before the ceremony? to take all those family pics? or are you doing those during the CH hour?

Re: Photo Timeline for the big day?

we unfortunately have to see each other bc we go straight from the ceremony to the CH....i actually just spoke to my catering hall, and he said he doesn't even OPEN that early (i'm getting ready there since it's so far out east) and the earliest he would be willing to get there would be about 8:30-9am, so i guess my photographer doesn't have a choice in the matter anyway, which is good bc I want to have both of them there till at least the cake is cut!
