Invitation Wording Help Please!!

This is a sensitive subject, but I am hoping for some honest opinions from you ladies. My mom suggested the following wording for our invitations:

Mr. and Mrs. P (my parents)
Request...
at the marriage of
Bride
to
Groom,
Son of Mrs. E and the late Mr. E

FH doesn't really like refering to his dad with 'the late' and would rather just say Mr. and Mrs. E. Does anybody think that would be confusing or offending to people?

Sorry so long...any other suggestions would be great too!

She is not interested in wedding planning at all - she will probably say a combination of:
1. Whatever FH wants
2. Just leave me off the invite (FH wants them on, so she would go back to 1)

We will eventually ask her, I just don't want to give her an option that she cannot have (Mr. and Mrs.). I still need to ask my mom what she thinks of it also... I am afraid

Re: Invitation Wording Help Please!!

I think Mr and Mrs will be confusing. I mean he is the son of tem but people who arent that close to his family will get confised and might make comments that would seem insensntive just bc they don't know.

I think usually it would be 'son of Mrs. E' but I'm not sure. You could also just leave her off

Re: Invitation Wording Help Please!!

I think:

Son of Mrs. E and the late Mr. E

sounds about right if FH wants to include his late father.
