Hawaii Suggestions, Please!

I'm thinking of switching my HM to Hawaii (I'm currently booked for Aruba). Can anyone make a few suggestions as to where to stay? I'm looking to spend about $6,000 and I'll be going in August.

Any and all ideas are welcome, and appreciated!!!!

That is exactly what we did. We originally wanted Hawaii but, thought it was to expensive, so we switched to Aruba. Then we decided to call a travel agent and find out prices. We realized that it wasn't much more to go to Hawaii, so we changed are plans. ME and FH are using are frequent flyer miles, so I am not sure if that $6,000 budget is air fare as well. We are going for 11days and 10 nights. We are staying one night in Oahu, since are plane is coming in late. Then we are going to the Hyatts in Kaui and Maui. We are staying in the mountain view rooms, much cheaper. If you book all Hyatts you get a real good deal. Plus they give you a Buffet Breakfast everyday at both resorts, and a car rental at both places. There are other little HM things also. We also upgraded to a convertible. FM me for prices, but I will tell you now, you can afford it.

Re: Hawaii Suggestions, Please!

We're also going to Hawaii. There are so many different places to stay on all of the islands, so you can definately make it happen! Check out some places that former brides stayed at. I think the Marriott was pretty decent for price & quality. We're staying at the Hyatt on Maui & Kauai. You'll get a better deal if you book air/car/hotel together! Good Luck!

Re: Hawaii Suggestions, Please!

We spent $5600 on hotels and flights for 2 nights in Oahu and 8 nights in Maui. And we spent about $3500 while we were there (food, excursions, tipping, rental upgrade, drinks).

This sounds like a great deal, do you mind telling me what travel agent you used?

Thanks!
