SO how bad is Leg Waxing really???
I want to get a bikini wax and leg wax for my wedding and honeymoon...Ihate shaving. My hair grows FAST...so I really need to hsvae everyday when I wear a bathing suite.Iv'e never waxed anything but my eyebrows (and have only done that twice!!)
Is the pain unbearable? How long does the swelling last? If I have a friday wedding, when should I try to go for waxing?...so that it lasts my whole honeymoon? Sorry to ask so many questions...I am totally clueless.
If anyone has any recommendations for Suffolk County..I am in Port Jeff...please advise!
TIA

Re: SO how bad is Leg Waxing really???
It's bareable, I've had it done many times, and I will tell you it's way better than a bikini wax..lol Do you get your eyebrows waxed? its the same, just over a larger area so of course the pain is a bit more, but it won't kill you.If you are having a friday wedding I would suggest going on Tues or Wed, that should last you though the honeymoon, the swelling is not that bad that even having it on Thursday would be okay but I would try it once before to see if your skin has any reactions you werent expecting.

Stop shaving for awhile, and go about a week before the wedding. It isn't SO bad. Just don't cheap out - go someplace good to get it done (ie, Not the $10 manicure place in the mall).

Re: SO how bad is Leg Waxing really???
You should definately try it once before the wedding for 2 reasons.1- in case you have anytype of reactions
2- the hair will be softer after just once and you can estimate how long it take your hair to grow back (it can be different for everyone)

I don't have any recommendations for you in LI, but just wanted to say that leg waxing is nothing. It feels like rubber bands snapping against your skin. Now brazilians are another story.

Re: SO how bad is Leg Waxing really???
lookboth are painful, but painful just at that moment. I would honestly start waxing now (at least your bikini) bc hair grows in thinner and makes waxing much more easier and bearable. DOnt let your first time be the honeymoon

My first time was for the wedding (I did it 3 days before) and although painful, it was fine. Yes, it hurt like a motherf*...but was so worth it.

I forgot to write...take 3 aspirin or Motrin or Tylenol about an hour before...it'll help (I didn't do it and I regretted it!

Yes, especially your first few times go to a better place like the one you chose.
You will love how free and nice and great you will feel after, then it gets addicting. Good luck and happy honeymoon!!!!

They say about a month. But I have rapid hair growth and I waxed 3 days before the wedding...by week 2 they were growing back. Although I LOVED not having to shave on the HM...esp. my underarms!!

Underarm waxing sounds great - but painful to me. I hate shaving my pits! I think I might have to try this out. How long should hair be before waxing? I've never waxed anything but my brows and my skin was uber-sensitive to it. But...I imagine other parts of the body could handle it better.

I got my underams waxed for the first time a few days ago. It did not hurt at all! I think once you get a Brazilian, nothing hurts in comparison. I am so happy with my underarm waxing!

YES...in comparison to a Brazilian, nothing hurts!!
It was gross growing it out...but soooo worth it. Now I use Dove deodorant which helps slow underarm hair growth (and makes it thinner). I love it!

Re: SO how bad is Leg Waxing really???
I ONLY wax my legs-- I haven't shaved my legs in over 5 years. I absolutely love it and would never, ever shave ever again. If you would like any recommendations of where to go, I would HIGHLY recommend my salon. FM me if you have any questions whatsoever. As for pain... you get used to it. No joke, I almost fall asleep now while I get it done. And no, I'm not kidding.
