Coctail Hour
How many brides are going to attend their Cocktail Hour? I've been in 2 weddings and both times both the bride and the bridal party missed the coctail hour because they were taking pictures. At one wedding the bride waited in the bridal suite until cocktail hour was over then all the guests were moved to the main room and the bride was announced. I would like to attend my cocktail hour but I would also like to be announced. WHat is everyone doing?

Re: Coctail Hour
Me too, I just might make a quick stop just to see how everything is set up and how the people are doing, say hi to a few people. At least thats what I would like to do, who knows.

Re: Coctail Hour
There isn't much time in between our Ceremony and the Cocktail hour so it's going to be a play it by ear whether we make it or not, depending on traffic and how long it takes to take our pics. I'd like to at least make it there for like 10 -15 min or so.. we'll see

We have plenty of time to take pics inbetween. So therefore we'll be there.

Re: Coctail Hour
Dont' know if we'll have time. The church is 3:30pm and the CH starts at 6pmIf I miss it I don't mind, they'll bring us food in the bridal suite anyway.

Re: Coctail Hour
We will definitely attend the cocktail hour. We have a pretty big gap inbetween the church and the ch. We will also be announed in the main dining room.

Re: Coctail Hour
I dont know if I want to attend ... I might hang out with the BP in the suite we have ... but I would love to see how all the food looks druing CH. maybe I'll just peek in for like 5 min - I want everyone to see me when Im announced.

Re: Coctail Hour
I'm going to attend my CH. My rationale is: I've paid for it, I'm going to it! Plus we have a huge guest list (big families) so I'm going to take that time to go around and greet everyone so once we go into the reception room I don't have to go from table to table and I can just relax and enjoy it!

Re: Coctail Hour
My chuch is at 3 and my cocktail is at 6 but the hall and church are 15 minutes apart so there is enough time for me to take pics before the cocktail hour. At least i think

Re: Coctail Hour
There is no way I am going to walk around to 20 tables and miss out on all the dancing during the reception. Our ceremony is at 3 and the ch starts at 7. plenty of time to say hi, eat, drink and then get introduced and PARTY!

Re: Coctail Hour
I will probably miss the cocktail hour, or most of it anyway. Since we are having an out of town wedding we are having the cocktail hour directly after the church. We are going to be in a field somewhere taking pictures while everyone is sipping cocktails by a fire.
