I will go back when the time comes. Right now, I just try it on (again) make sure I like it still and take it home. Then when the day comes closer, I'll go back to get it altered.

You mean they don't keep it there for you? I thought the bridal places kept it for you.

Nope... gots to bring it home for a few months. I'm sure some do, but David's Bridal doesn't.
