NWR: Random Question

Does anyone know how to make a soft bed mattress firmer?

Ok, so I just recently moved in with my FI. He has been living in his co-op for about 2 years. His mattress is not supportive and firm enough for me and I wake up in the morning with a sore back. I have back problems to begin with. I guess I should ask my chiropractor. But I don't want him to get a new mattress because the one he has is only 2 years old. I guess he could always give me a back massage every day.

I know this is random, but if anyone has any ideas or works in the medical field, I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks

Re: NWR: Random Question

Can you put a board under your side of the mattress? Maybe egg crating would help? Ask your chiropractor. You could also probably ask someone in a mattress store.

Re: NWR: Random Question

The only thing that came to my mind...and it's a crazy thought, is to maybe place wood beneath the bed to firm it up...but even as I write it that makes no sense. Have you tried googling?

Another option would be to sell it (craiglist would work) and get a happy medium mattress.

Re: NWR: Random Question

MY FH SUGGESTED PUTTING A PIECE OF PLYWOOD BETWEEN THE MATTRESS AND THE BOXSPRING. THAT WILL DEFINITELY FIRM IT UP.
