Best Places for Wedding Gowns under $2000 in NYC, Long Island & Westchester

Does anyone have recommendations for bridal shops in NYC, Long Island or Westchester with a very good selection of dresses under $2000 (ideally $1500 or less)?? Also, I need a place that can still guarantee dress delivery in time for my wedding on June 30th of this year. I am freaking b/c I haven't found a dress yet. I think I am going to take off from work a few days this week and just search!! Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!

I got mine at Lillettes for around $1000, I know also Bridal Reflections, Davids also had some. There are many places, you just need to stay away from the salon type places.

Bridal Reflections in Carle Place, Lynbrook Bridal in Lynbrook, Davids Bridal (they have lots of locations). Good Luck.

I second Lillettes. Great selection and great service. Ask for Pat. She is great (and dblplay's FMIL!).

Instead of concentrating on the 'store', you might want to look by designer. If you know certain designers are within your budget, you can go the stores that carry those designers. Also, I am getting married 2 weeks before you and I just ordered my dress this week. I have been told it will arrive in mid-April. Good luck and happy shopping!!

I go tmine at David's Bridal and it will arrive in 3 months from my order date.

I would look into Maggie Sottero gowns- no matter which salon I went to, they were all very affordable...

I got a Demetrios dress at Macy's bridal salon during a trunk show and saved 20%

There is another trunk show going on, with the same deal. There is one at Herald Square, Manhasset and Smith Haven

Another nod for RK Bridal - I tried dresses on at RK Bridal and at other bridal salons. I saw the same exact dresses at RK Bridal for $300-$500 less than at other places.

I wore an Alfred Angelo gown and it came in 2 months after I ordered it

Mine would be a third nod for RK Bridal. I love them. I looked at other places, named above and noticed the mark up on dresses on the island was ridiculious. A dress out here was 2,100 at Rk would have been 1,500. I liked RK bridal and have had nothing but an amazing experience thus far.

I second Lillettes...my friends Marisa gown was signifcantly cheaper in Lillettes than it was in Macys where she bought it...she was not happy

Thanks girls!! For those of you that recommend I check out specific designers in my price range (vs focusing on shops) - can you tell me which designers are in my price range?? I don't have a handle on this right now. Also, are there designers that deliver more quickly than others??

try the bridal design loft in manhattan. they have lots of great stuff under $2000.

My sister got her dress at Charmet in Bayside, Queens for about $750...They don't have a HUGE selection, but they're very nice and all alterations are included for free. When I was looking, they said they could get me any dress I wanted (from the designers they use) and would give it to me for cheaper than they charge elsewhere.

I think the free alterations alone are a good reason to go...Plus, they do a fantastic job...My sister's dress looked as if it was custom made for her body.
