Re: Advice for my mom & dad
Western wear? That made me think of cowboys in the ol' west!Where is the wedding going to be? The location should help. I'd say a nice golf shirt and slacks (or skirt for your mom), usually can't go wrong with that either way.

I once heard of a bat mitzvah with that theme and the parents said it was a 'diamonds and denim look' So perhaps, blue jeans, boots, a sparkly top and big 'texas like' earrings.

Re: Advice for my mom & dad
HOW FUN!
I had some cowboys at my wedding (DH's friends) one of them even wore a cowboy hat - he always does and he was a hit. all the ladies were
anyhow.... I would tell them to call the inviters and ask them. I would hate to show up with jeans, cowboy boots and a flannel and have everyone else be dressed up.

That sure sounds different. My parents might be able to pull off fresh & funky. But I'm not sure how I would describe that look. That's a tough one.

I'd just go casual. Wouldn't want to stand out.

Re: Advice for my mom & dad
My cousins are from Texas and I would only describe one of them as a cowboy. They were up here for my grandfathers funeral in November and that cowboy had came everywhere with him I mean everywhere the church, the graveyard, everywhere we went out at night boy the looks we got
