Re: South Pacific Hoenymoons

I went to Fiji but my agent is a South Pacific specialist. Her name is Alison Adams.
If you're interested, you should e-mail her at

[email protected]

the website is www.tahititravelmate.com

She was wonderful to work with!

You can probably find a decent deal to Tahiti these days, esp. now that you can go directly from JFK. I believe it is 13-14 hours non-stop from NY.

ETS: Tahiti does not have many all-inclusives. When we looked into Tahiti, we discovered this is only one on Bora Bora - a Club Med that has only one restaraunt which is buffet style.

Re: South Pacific Hoenymoons

I'm not sure if the weather is exactly the same as Tahiti, but in early November in Fiji it was HOT. It was about 90-95 degrees and they said that was cool for that time of year. The sun was very strong. There were occasional showers throughout the day and rain at night on the smaller island we stayed on - but the small island we stayed on was all tropical vegitation, so rain was expected.
Here is the website for the smaller island:
www.qamea.com

We also stayed on the main island for a few nights to play golf.

Re: South Pacific Hoenymoons

We are looking into Fiji for a May wedding. Did you like it? What is there to do there. We want something relaxing, but I would like to have some small adventures
We will probably stay at a Hilton because we have points to stay there for a few nights free. That's the way to do it!

Re: South Pacific Hoenymoons

Honestly, we didn't do much of anything. Do you scuba? On the private island of Qamea, the only thing we did was eat, drink, relax and snorkel. There were a few hikes and excursions available but we just lounged.
On the main island of Fiji, we stayed at the Sheraton for a couple of nights and golfed at the Denarau Golf Club.
