Re: What is the average price for flowers?
its kind of hard to say b.c it depends on how many CP's you want and if you wnat them high or low, plus how many bouquets you need etc...you can try to put a post on vendors helping brides with what you need and some may get back to you with actual prices

That also depends on what kind of flowers you want. That plays a huge part in the price.

Re: What is the average price for flowers?
I would probably have about 18 centerpieces which I would definitely want low ones. I heard that if you stick to one type of flower it would be cheaper because the florist would order them in bulk, don't know if thats true and dont' know if I want just one flower. Is $5000 a reasonable price to budget for flowers?

Re: What is the average price for flowers?
oh yes i think 5000 should be plenty, i had an original quote for 18 high CP, 5 bridesmaid Bo-k, MOH Bo-k, my Bo-k, like 9 boutineires, 4 corsages, and 6 pew bows and 2 altar pieces for like $3600, but i have since changed my wedding and that price is not within my budget..let me know if you want me to FM you the name

Re: What is the average price for flowers?
That's definitely reasonable, I have 5 girls in the BP, two church arrangements and approx 33 tables and we are paying less than that.

Re: What is the average price for flowers?
ladies... i have a contact for flowers i can get from a friend... she spent only and i repeat only $1500.00 on flowers.... she had GORGEOUS flowers... 20 huge centerpieces and her bridal party stuff, her bouquet and the church flowers. her bouquet survived a trip to Ireland and sat on her father's grave for 2 weeks and were STILL fresh!!!! the flowers lasted throughout the day and night and were gorgeous. i was impressed with the beauty of the centerpieces and the bouquets were stunning.i will get that info. and post as soon as i can... but also want to say that there is no reason to go crazy on flowers...at least shop around.... they only die anyway.... focus on your bridal party and your bouquet... there are cheaper ways to go on the centerpieces (smaller size, add candles of your own, etc.)

Re: What is the average price for flowers?
I refuse to pay more than $3000.So when I go to a florist, I tell them what I want and how much I want to spend.....and most of them will work with you.

$5000 is more than enough, I was quoted for 20 HighCP, 1 MOH 6BMs 2Jr BMs, 3FGs Mother corsages 2, father boutineer 2, GM boutineers and groom boutineer for no where close to $5000 in price and I have a big bridal party. Check with Flower Michele thats who i booked with.

I agree 100% - we are doing candle centerpieces to save money - in all the weddings I've been too, I don't remember flowers.

Re: What is the average price for flowers?
Thanks for the advice ladies. I don't want to spend $5000 whatsoever, but I just was trying to see how much to set aside for flowers. So $3000 is probably closer to what I'll spend, hopefully less. I am from Westchester and getting married in Jersey, so if anyone knows any florists in Westchester, please let me know.

Re: What is the average price for flowers?
Girls, I totally agree flowers are beautiful of course but I cant see myself spending more than 1000, I am not getting centerpieces so that helps a lot. My place is including the centerpieces with my price which is nice! The cheaper I can get flowers the better!!! Any info is appreciated!!!!

Re: What is the average price for flowers?
Are you nuts? 5,000 is WAYYYYY to much to spend on flowers. You must have a nice budget if your planning on spending that much.I'm paying almost 2 grand, and thats for everything including 12 centerpieces.I would definately NOT spend 5 grand on something thats going to die in a few days!! Rethink your flower budget. Good luck.
