Re: NMR: 1 day at Disney world What should Fh and I do and see????

depends on what you're interested in:

you can do the entire magic kingdom in one day
you can 'hop' parks and visit highlights of each park
you can probably pair 2 parks together like mgm and epcot in one day, or animal kingdom & epcot in one day, etc.

Re: NMR: 1 day at Disney world What should Fh and I do and see????

Is this your first time at Disney?
If it is the Magic Kingdom is a must see...its not Disney if you don't see this..lol Theres lots to do here even though it looks like its more geared towards kids. FH & I went on almost all the rides here...some of them we were too big for ...you can't help being a kid when you're there...Splash Mountain is a MUST if you go here as is Dumbo...you have to its Disney...lol

Epcot is fun as well. I love the World showcase...they have some incredible things to eat here...we were there last year and walked around Epcot two times in one day...no crowds and the lazer light show at night over the water is also great...

Re: NMR: 1 day at Disney world What should Fh and I do and see????

i agree...if it's your first time there, you HAVE to go see the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

My favorite evening show has always been the light show at MGM, but if it's your first time, the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom with the castle as a backdrop is beautiful.

If you can, make reservations for breakfast in the Magic Kingdom and you can get into the park earlier than other visitors and get your picture taken with the characters. (Childish, but a must-do).

HTH and have fun!

I agree you have to see the fireworks over Cinderella's Castle at Magic Kingdom.

Epcot is a lot of fun when looking for food, you can walk around this large lake and visit many different countries. I thought it was pretty cool.

You can beat that food show case at Epcot, me and FH had the best time in Epcot with all the food. It was all delicous. I think that is in Oct and Nov only. You have to go to Magic Kingdom if you have never been, and also Epcot. You can do MGM fast if you want to check it out. They have buses that run all day that will bring you to all the parks for free.

BEWARE!! of Misson Space in Epcot. I never get nauseous on rides, but this one made me sick.

Definitely spend the day at Magic Kingdom. You can't go wrong there. Be sure to take a picture with Mickey and don't leave before the fireworks. You are going to have such a good time. I LOVE Disney!

Re: NMR: 1 day at Disney world What should Fh and I do and see????

I am there all the time, dad lives right by the main gate, so he buys me a season pass every year, and I go 8-10 times a year. A few tips:

Animal Kingdom closes early (usually around 5 pm)

MGM has 3 or 4 rides I dont remember, and you can do MGM in a few hours, check show times before you start moving around the park. It will help you later on when you are trying to figure out what to do.

Magic Kingdom is HUGE, you will probably not see everything if you only spend 1 day there, maybe if you want to see Animal kingdom, spend the other half of the day at magic kingdom.

Epcot is also huge, and I recommend a full day there. Do not miss Soaring it is amazing, if the lines are long I would recommend getting a fast pass for either mission space or soaring, and waiting in line for test track, or another attraction.

Make reservations for restaurants now. They can get very crowded. I recommend eating in the castle, it is definately an experience you wont forget.

For parades and shows plan on getting to the area atleast 30-45 mins prior to show time. Good seats go fast.

At magic kingdom, DO NOT GET DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE CASTLE FOR FIREWORKS! You will miss most of the show. If you are facing the castle, be to the right side, that is where you will get the best view.

HTH have a great time!
