Pearls for wedding jewelry?

As in, a plain pearl necklace and earrings..do you think this is too simple? My mom gave me a gorgeous set for xmas..they almost have a gold sheen they are so pretty and glow..she knew I was thinking of pearls but knows I may not wear it for the wedding..just wondering what you guys think..I am planning on at least bringing it to my first fitting..if my dress ever comes in!
I would post my dress but am trying really hard to resist posting it online.

I'm going with pearls myself. I think it is perfect for a wedding, elegant and classic. I'm even having pearls put into my tiara. Bring it to your first fitting, if it doesn't take your breath away, you always have time to find something else you like better.

I wore all pearls on my wedding day. My mother bought me a beautiful pearl necklace, my IL's had a beautiful pearl bracelet made for me, and I borrowed my mother's pearl stud earrings. I just find pearls classic.

I totally understand what you mean about posting your dress online...I haven't. You can never go wrong with pearls and no it is not too simple, it is elegant. I am not wearing any necklace with my dress; sometimes 'less is more.'

my best friend borrowed my strand of pearl earring and studds for her wedding and they looked beautiful in her pic! I'll see if I can post a pic.

I have no idea what I'm wearing. It is up to my FH. He seems to be leaning towards pearls though. They are so classy and elegant. They never go out of style.
